After showering some parts of Sheboygan County with the first measurable snow – a few tenths of an inch – of the season last night, Old Man Winter is forecast to get a second shot at exerting his influence tonight as a Lake Effect Snow setup develops and evolves.
The band of snow to watch was already on radar by 9 AM this Sunday, and will probably stay offshore for most of the day – and then the forecasts disagree. One scenario keeps that band over Lake Michigan for the duration, while the second brings the heavy snow band onshore. If the latter comes about, then the potential for 3-8” of snow will be felt between 10 PM and 4 AM in far eastern Milwaukee, Racine and Kenosha Counties; in points north of Milwaukee along the lakeshore there’s potential for an inch or more, but it’s more likely that less would accumulate.
Whatever does fall will likely melt on Monday as sunshine pushes temps into the upper 30s to near 40 degrees.
