The Sheboygan County Emergency Communications Center has joined those stepping up to prevent hunger due to an impasse in the funding of federal aid programs.
Donation jars are already showing up in many private offices such as doctors and merchants, and now those charged with manning the emergency 911 system for the County are taking on the shortfall in critical food funding by collecting donations at their headquarters.
Those wishing to add to the funds are being encouraged to donate non-perishable food items at a collection point set up in the lobby of the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office in the County Courthouse at 526 North 6th Street in Sheboygan. Donations collected there now through November 21st will be delivered to the Sheboygan County Food Bank, which distributes goods to the many food pantries throughout the county.
