With public funding still tangled in Washington discord, local organizations are increasing efforts to make food available to those who need it.
The Sheboygan County Food Bank, which acts as a distribution center in partnership with area food pantries and other organizations, has been increasing the volume of food it supplies, even as those partner organizations find increasing demand at their doors.
For those in need of nutrition, the City of Sheboygan has made a list of food pantries available through the City’s facebook website, and the Sheboygan Salvation Army also offers a Hunger Page where calendars of community meals and food pantry locations and schedules can be accessed in both English and Spanish.
