Four persons have offered themselves for consideration to fill the unexpired term of District-4 Alder Robert Lafave on Monday night. The Sheboygan Common Council will be choosing between Alanza Grawien, Kris Johnson, Nicholas LaPoint, and Timm McDonald.
Alanza Grawien is the current chair of the Education Committee of UAW Local 1472 at Vollrath Company, as well as the Chair of the Region 4 Northcentral Women’s Council.
Kris Johnson is a 34-year resident of Sheboygan who’s been a practicing carpenter for the past 26 years and is a construction business owner.
Nicholas LaPoint is a Sheboygan Native who served as a US Marine from 1998 to 2006, was honorably discharged, and is a member of American Legion Post 555. He holds an Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies.
Timm McDonald offered no background, but did submit his intent to run for LaVave’s unexpired term.
The choice of the Common Council will be sworn in after their election and serve until the spring election of 2026.
