Richard Hoffmann, 90, of Plymouth and Wausaukee, WI, passed away peacefully at Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility on October 27, 2025.
Richard was born on June 15, 1935 in Plymouth, WI, the son of the late Arno and Irma (Bassuener) Hoffmann. He grew up on a farm near Plymouth, graduated from Plymouth High School in 1954. During high school and after he proudly served his Country in the United States Army National Guard for almost 10 years.
On February 16, 1957, he was united in marriage with Elaine Bock at Trinity Lutheran in the Town of Wilson. He worked for the Plymouth Utilities for 30 years. Richard was an avid camper, hunter and fisherman in his earlier years. He went on numerous hunting trips to Canada. In his later years Richard and his wife traveled the U.S. ending up in Arizona for the winter. He loved watching his family grow up and restoring old tractors.
Richard was survived by his wife of 68 years, Elaine; children, Steve (Lori) Hoffmann, Susan (John) Laack, Sherry (Mark) Petrie; grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Chris) Brockman, Cody Hoffmann, Rebecca (Joshua) Schladweiler, Bradley (Nicole) Laack, Melissa Petrie, Kiley (Andrew) Steinhandt; great-grandchildren, Winston and Madilyn Brockman, Porter and Kinsley Laack; brother, Carl Hoffmann of Florida; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arno and Irma Hoffmann, and parents-in-law, Frank and Meta Bock.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025, at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth from 10:00am-11:00am; with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:00am. Rev. John Schultz will officiate. Entombment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth.
