Is the Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin made right in our backyard? That’s still to be decided, as 148 nominees are competing for that title in the tenth edition of the contest presented by Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce and the Johnson Financial Group.
Sheboygan County bragging rights are on the line, as last year’s winner – Jolly Good Soda – hails from Random Lake.
Among this years entries are Carbliss, the zero-carb cocktails originating in Plymouth; Miesfeld’s No-Salt Bratwurst from Miesfeld’s Triangle Market of Sheboygan; from Plymouth, Sargento Natural American Sliced Cheese; the Sheboygan Pasty Company’s Bratwurst Pasty, and Sheboygan’s Sunday Dough Donuts – the signature product by the company of the same name.
Also in the running in our region are Hand Strung String Cheese from Cedar Valley Cheese of Belgium, Wave-Point Drills from Sharon-Cutwell Company of Belgium; and Key Lime Pie Fruit Dip, Seasoning or Cheesecake Mix from Starla’s of Belgium.
Online voting begins on Monday the 22nd at www.madeinwis.com, with the top 16 vote-getters moving on to the next round. The Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin 2025 will be announced during ceremonies in Madison on October 23rd.
