The Boil Water Advisory that was initiated on Tuesday by the Village of Cleveland was lifted on Wednesday morning. The advisory had been issued following a break in the Cleveland Water Utility system that rapidly dropped water pressure, making the system vulnerable to infiltration by virus, bacteria, and parasites that could be present in the surrounding soil. As a precaution, the Boil Water Advisory directed users to boil water for a minute and then cooling it before using, or to substitute bottled water for consumption until repairs could be made and the system was thoroughly flushed.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources determined that test results were acceptable, and lifted the advisory on Wednesday morning.
