The signs are all around – literally. Highway 32 travelers between County Highway “V” and State Highway 28 at Sheboygan Falls are being advised via portable, lit road signs about the hard closure of that section of the highway beginning on Friday, August 22nd. On that day, barriers will be up between “V” and 28 as crews prepare to redo the roadway and culverts.
The project, which has been underway since April, has until now involved only Phase-1 between Cedar Grove and Highway “V”. On Friday the 22nd, attention turns to Phase-2 which involves resurfacing and culvert replacement on the north leg, along with construction of a roundabout at the “V” / 32 intersection. The Department of Transportation was expecting that 32 will be opened between Cedar Grove and “V” upon the switch to Phase-2, which is expected to last until late October to complete.
