Weather hasn’t been the best for road construction over the past week, but the Wisconsin DOT says that progress on major projects continues toward completion.
All concrete work on the Highway 28 bridge over the Milwaukee River in Cascade is complete and crews are now concentrating on milling and paving the roadway north of Cascade. The project to completely resurface the road from the south county line to Waldo is expected to take until the end of September to complete.
Box culverts are the major subject of the Highway 32 reconstruction project south of Highway “V”. Culverts at Highway “G” at Cedar Grove and just south of Wilson-Lima Road are nearing completion while an old culvert just south of Palmer Road will now be removed and replaced. Once culvert replacement is done the road surface will be milled and paved. Work on the portion north of “V” to Sheboygan Falls will then begin and should be completed by the end of October, weather permitting.
