You might encounter Wisconsin DOT road crews repairing several areas of I-43 this week in Sheboygan County.
Maintenance of pavement on both the north and southbound lanes of I-43 at both Garton Road and Orchard Road will be conducted now through 2 PM on Thursday. Lane closures will be used to control flow around the work sites.
On Wednesday, another crew will be conducting routine bridge inspection on both directions of I-43 at the Sheboygan River. That’ll be done between 8 AM and noon, and lane closures are again expected for traffic control.
Work continues on the Highway 28 project between the south county line and Waldo. The project to reconstruct the bridge in Cascade is nearly complete, and paving crews will be working on milling and paving between Cascade and Waldo.
Contractors working on Highway 32 will be constructing culverts at Highway “G” in Cedar Grove and also just south of Wilson-Lima Road. Phase 1 will be done once the surface is milled and replaced between Cedar Grove and Highway “V”. Afterwards, construction will shift to the stretch between “V” and Sheboygan Falls with completion expected around October 31st.
