For the sixteenth consecutive year, Lakeshore College has earned the title of a “Military Friendly School” from “Viqtory”. That’s a national organization that connects the military community to educational and entrepreneurial opportunities and civilian employment. The Silver Award for the 2025-26 period was determined by an advisory council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community, and recognizes the school’s support of the military, and for being a Military Spouse Friendly School in the small college category.
Lakeshore President, Dr. Paul Carlsen, said that the award reflects the college’s “…ongoing dedication and commitment to supporting veterans and their families.” Lakeshore partners with the County Veterans Services, the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Federal Veterans Administration to provide that support. That’s offered as tuition and material fee waivers, housing allowances, and additional stipends through the Wisconsin GI Bill, among other methods. More than 1,800 schools nationwide took part in the survey that determined the designations.
