Paul F. Damrow, 83, of Sheboygan, WI passed away on April 5, 2025 after a battle with cancer. Paul was born
on August 9, 1941 along with his twin brother Peter to the late Frank and Helen (Schroder) Damrow. Their
mother passed away from complications after their birth, and as one of 11 children, Paul was raised by his
father, grandmother (Emma Schroder) and siblings. As one of seven sons, Paul and the โDamrow Boysโ spent
their younger years getting into a lot of mischief! Paul attended Holy Name School and Central High School.
Paul served in the United States Army from 1964 until 1967 at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL and White
Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. After finishing his Army tour in 1967, Paul met his wife Darlene Swope
and her two sons, Ronald (Ronnie) and Curtis (Curtie), in Norwalk CA while visiting his brother Jerry. Paul
and Darlene and the boys lived in Norwalk for three years, then moved to Sheboygan in 1970.
Paul worked at American Motors in Milwaukee as well as Tecumseh and then started at the Kohler Company in
1976 until his retirement in 2005. He was a proud member of the Kohler Company Quarter Century (Plus)
Club.
The Damrow Family spent the early years making memories at the family cabin, Camp Sheboygan, in Fence
WI. Paul then built his own cabin with brother Jack in Mountain, WI, and enjoyed time with friends and family
there until building the final family get away, The Ponderosa, in Fence, WI. Much time was spent working and
maintaining the 120 acres of Godโs Country, and Paul enjoyed every moment he spent โUpnorthโ with family.
He also enjoyed the time Darleneโs family would spend vacationing in Sheboygan, staying at their home. He
also enjoyed taking trips to the National Parks over the years with his brothers and nephews. Paul enjoyed
watching all sports, especially the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers and Milwaukee Brewers. He always
had his game day rituals to help his team win! Paul was always joking around and making people laugh, while
living his life humbly. He was a great storyteller and had a vast knowledge of his family history and loved to
pass it along to the next generations.
Paul is survived by two sisters, Delores Seidlitz and Patty Russart, one brother Charles Damrow, in-laws
Audrey Damrow, Betty Damrow, Janet & Jerry Paeth, and David & Linda London along with many special
nephews, nieces and extended family and friends who will all miss Paul.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Darlene, stepsons Ronald and Curtis Swope, brothers Jerry (Lou),
Robert, James, John/โJackโ (Beverly Baumann) and Peter Damrow, sisters Lorraine Haese and Dorothy (Elroy)
Wallander, in-laws Dan Seidlitz, Henry Russart, Gary London, Jim London, Joyce (Baker) Wright & Gerald
โBubblesโ Baker, Carolyn & Gene Walker, Jeanne (Browning) & Bruce McQueen, Bonnie Lowe, and Darlene
and Paulโs fur family, most recently Gidget.
A special thank you to the staff at the VA in Milwaukee and Green Bay and Aurora BayCare in Green Bay for
the great care they provided, and to Paulโs nephews Tom Wallander and Richie Seidlitz for helping Paul to his
appointments during his treatments and time in the hospital.
