Dianna H. Mech, age 84, of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, died on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Meadow View Health Services in Sheboygan. She was born on March 27, 1941 in Athens, Wisconsin to Arthur and Hilda Schmidt Frane.
Dianna attended local schools in Athens WI, and married Clement Mech on February 10, 1959 in Marathon County. She worked for over 20 years as a school bus driver for Prigge Bus Lines before retiring to care for her husband, who preceded her in death in 2002.
An active member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, Diana was also involved with the Sheboygan Senior Center and the Golden Chordeliers. She enjoyed hobbies such as embroidery, crocheting, ceramics, and camping with her family, especially at Devil’s River Campground.
She is survived by her four children—Robert (Nicki) Mech of Appleton, Ronald Mech of Sheboygan, Rhonda (Chad) Schmidt of Winneconne, and Rashel (Randy) Bacon of Sheboygan; twelve grandchildren (Kevin, Tiffany, Kelly, Chumley, Meghan, Sara, David, T.J., Crystal, Victoria, Branden, and Heather); many great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; her sister, Shirley Bane of California; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church (1439 S.12th Street, Sheboygan) with Fr. Paul Fliss officiating. Family and friends may gather at the church on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Entombment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in the Town of Wilson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Sheboygan Senior Center in Dianna’s name.
