
Iris F. Wagner, age 81, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 24, 2025,
at Pine Haven Christian Communities.
She was born in Sheboygan on May 9, 1943, to the late Adolph and Harriette (Schultz) Fale. She
attended St. Peter Claver Catholic School and graduated from Central High School. Iris was a
member of St. Dominic Catholic Parish in Sheboygan. On April 27, 1963, Iris married the love of
her life, Thomas Wagner. The two had a life filled with love, respect, joy, and laughter. The two
shared three beloved children and three grandchildren, whom brought them much joy and
fulfillment. Tom preceded her in death in 2009. Iris was employed for many years with Aurora
Medical Center in both pediatrics and medical billing services.
Iris loved spending time at their cottage around a campfire in northern Wisconsin; fishing,
playing cards, being a master sheepshead and cribbage player, going to the casino, and
spending time with her family and friends. Iris was the family host for any gathering and
enjoyed bringing family and friends together. She will be deeply missed.
Iris is survived by her children, Scott (Rachel) Wagner of New Holstein and Sheryl Short of
Milwaukee; grandchildren, Makense Short, Emily Short, and Brittani Naidl; brothers, Randall
(Carol) Fale, Richard Fale, Robert (Ann) Fale, Rev. John (Marcia) Fale, and Eugene (Debra Kutz)
Fale; sisters, Mary Jane Fale, Roseann DeRuyter, Therese Moore, Margaret Shoemaker, and
Christine (Grant) Brooks; sisters-in-law, Mary Kay Hibbard and Jean (Ted) Behling; along with
many, many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Along with her parents and husband, Iris was preceded in death by her son, Sean Wagner;
stepmother, Lorraine Hardy Fale; sisters, Karen OโMalley and Janyce (Andy) Kerkhoff; father
and mother-in-law, James (Agnes) Wagner; brothers-in-law, William (Karen) Wagner, Roger
Shoemaker, Harold Hibbard, and sister-in-law, Betty Ann (Wagner) Koenig.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Iris will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 28, 2025, at St.
Dominic Catholic Parish, 2133 N 22 nd St. in Sheboygan, with Father Dennis Beltre officiating.
Family will greet visitors at the church on Friday from 9:00 AM until the time of mass. Iris will be
laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial donations can be made in Iris's name to either the American Cancer Society or the
Parkinsonโs Foundation.
Irisโs family would like to thank the staff at both Pine Haven Christian Communities and Sharon
S. Richardson Community Hospice for their loving care. Iris felt their love and compassion every
