A Two Rivers girl is recovering from non-life threatening injuries she suffered in a stabbing on Saturday.
Two Rivers Police and Manitowoc County Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of a disturbance in a home in the 1800 block of South 21st Street at around 10 p.m. Saturday. The girl had been stabbed in the chest, and officers remained monitoring on-site until the S.W.A.T. team could be deployed.
A standoff ensued, but after a short time 22-year-old Dominic M. Liggins was taken into custody without further incident. The girl was transported for treatment of her injuries.
Liggins, who has a lengthy record of court involvement in the Manitowoc/Two Rivers area, was taken into custody and will be facing charges of Recklessly Endangering Safety, Physical Abuse of a Child, False Imprisonment and Bail Jumping.
