Residents of assisted living facilities in the City of Sheboygan will have the voting booth coming to them this week. The sessions are scheduled for those who wonโt be able to make it to their local polling place for the April 1st Election.
Beginning today and running through Thursday the 20th, special voting deputies appointed by the City will administer absentee voting by request at Sheboygan Progressive Health Services, Shores of Sheboygan North and South, Morningside Health Services, Sheboygan Health Services, Golden Harbor, and Sunny Ridge. Any US citizen who will be 18 years of age or older on Election Day, who has resided in the ward or municipality where he or she wishes to vote for at least 28 consecutive days before the election and is registered to vote can receive a ballot.
Observers from both the Democrat and Republican parties may observe the process as long as they qualify according to the rules and have registered with the clerk or board of election commissioners at least a day before the session, while any family members whoโd like to be there may also observe. Anyone with questions should contact the City Clerk.
