The next weather system to affect the area will bring another smorgasbord of impacts that could resemble either spring โ or winter โ just in time to say โgoodbyeโ to the latter.

NWS Graphic
The final day of Winter on Wednesday will behave more like spring as gusty winds bring unsettled, moist air and a chance for thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon and early evening. While thunderstorms carry their own bluster and strong storms are possible, even non-thunderstorm winds during the day could gust over 40 mph. Thunderstorms are most likely between 7 and 9 p.m., and by the time Spring arrives at 4:01 a.m. Thursday, a wintery coating of light snow could already be on the ground.

NWS Graphic
Accumulations arenโt expected to exceed an inch or two, and should exit by daybreak Thursday, and by Friday a return to seasonally mild temperatures in the 50s are expected.
