Transportation can become a major issue for those in their advanced years, but Sheboygan County is stepping up to make it easier for seniors to get around.
โSheboygan County Connectโ is a service announced on Monday designed to help residents access essential services with ease. According to the County, the initiative intends to provide affordable, subsidized rides from home to grocery stores and drugstores, ensuring that seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities can maintain their independence and well-being.
The program is sponsored by Sheboygan County and the Aging and Disability Resource Center, and is operated with convenience in mind, offering a reliable and accessible way for eligible individuals to shop for groceries and pick up medications while avoiding unnecessary stress.
Those needing a ride can call the ADRC at least 48 hours in advance at 920-467-4100. The same number can be called for obtaining more information.
