What began as a simple stop for going too fast has resulted in felony charges against a Plymouth man.
The Saturday morning incident started shortly after 4 a.m. when a Fond du Lac County Sheriffโs Deputy observed a still-unidentified, 52-year-old Plymouth man speeding westbound on State Highway 23 just east of the City. After briefly pulling over, the suspect fled westbound into Fond du Lac at speeds between 30 and 40 mph while running multiple red lights along the way.
Stop sticks were deployed about halfway through the city at Park Avenue, but the driver continued on, striking another stop stick a block later. The chase ended after 3-1/2 miles when all four tires went flat.
The Plymouth man was arrested for Felony Fleeing and Eluding, and is now awaiting his court appearance in the Fond du Lac County Jail.
