The Sheboygan County Board of Supervisors is in need of candidates willing to serve a partial term. Board Chairman Keith Abler announced that Jacob Immel, who represented District 19, which includes Wards 4-7, 9 & 11 of the City of Sheboygan Falls, had resigned his post, having moved out of the district.
A candidate for the office of Supervisor must be a qualified elector and resident of the supervisory district. County Board members receive a base annual salary of $2,100, as well as being given a mileage reimbursement and a per diem payment for County Board and committee meetings.
Those meetings include the regular Monthly County Board meeting, held on the third Tuesday of each month beginning at 6 p.m. at the Sheboygan County Courthouse. Each board member also serves on one or more committees. Those nine consist of: Executive, Finance, Health & Human Services, Health Care Center, Human Resources, Law, Property, Transportation, and the Planning, Resources, Agriculture & Extension Committee. Assignment is made by the County Board Chairman, subject to approval of the County Board.
