
Judith M. (Bahrs) Scheidt, 88, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 26, 2025
at Lakehouse Manitowoc. She was the daughter of the late Anita (Luther) Damrow and Clarence H.
Damrow. Judith was born in Sheboygan on September 9, 1936. She attended Central High School for
two years. She married Edward Bahrs in 1956 and lived in Racine and Sheboygan most of the time. In
1968 Judith married Eugene Scheidt of Cleveland, WI where she resided until June of 2020. She then
went to Lakehouse Sheboygan before transferring to Lakehouse Manitowoc.
She worked at various businesses in Racine and Sheboygan while raising a large family.
Her hobbies were doing crafts, scrapbooking, embroidery and playing card games with family and
friends; especially, hand and foot. She was a member of Cleveland Garden Club, Cleveland Red Hat Club
and Manitowoc YMCA.
Her Husband Eugene passed away in July 2004.
She enjoyed camping and fishing in Shawano for many years. Judy once traveled to England, Florida, and
Arizona. In later years, she enjoyed traveling on bus tours.
She loved time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always loved having
Christmas at her home.
Judith is survived by her two sons, Mark (Kelly) Bahrs of Manitowoc and Calvin Bahrs of Elkhart Lake; her
daughter Kelly (Ray) Mlada of Redgranite; son-in-Law Jon Gougar of Oregon; stepson Sherman (Melissa)
Scheidt of Gibbsville; stepdaughters Sandy (Menhard) Sonnemann, Cyndy (David) Macco both of
Sheboygan and Sharon (special friend Dennis Prahl) Hochkammen of Elkhart Lake.
She is further survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother Richard (Sandra)
Damrow; sister Sandra Cullen; sister-in-law Vernetta Damrow all of Sheboygan; many cousins, relatives,
and many more wonderful friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Scheidt; son Perry Bahrs; daughter Kari Gougar; her
parents; Maternal and Paternal Grandparents; an infant brother; brother Glenn Damrow, stepdaughter
Charlene (Scheidt) Opitz; stepson Steven Scheidt and brother-in-law Ray Cullen.
A memorial service for Judith is scheduled on Friday, March 7, 2025 at 4:00PM at Zimmer Westview
Funeral & Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Rd, Sheboygan, WI 53083. The family will greet
relatives and friends from 2:00PM until the time of the service.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Lakehouse Sheboygan, Lakehouse Manitowoc and Sharon
S. Richardson Community Hospice.
