Leah R. Weinhold, age 91, Leah was called home by her heavenly father on Wednesday, February 5,
2025, at Aurora Medical Center in Sheboygan.
She was born in the Town of Mitchell on January 19, 1934, to the late Henry and Viola (Radder)
Grosskreutz. On October 24, 1953, Leah was united in marriage to Gerald Weinhold in Plymouth, where
they resided. He preceded her in death on December 29, 2016.
Leah enjoyed gardening, crocheting and sewing, making many afghans for her loved ones and had a
great joy for refurnishing antique furniture. She was known for her cooking and baking. She loved
spending time with her family and friends.
Leah is survived by her son, Gerald Weinhold and a special niece, Denise DeRuyter and other nieces and
nephews, other family and friends.
Along with her parents and husband, Leah was preceded in death by a son, Steven Weinhold and
siblings, Carl (Joy) Grosskreutz, Marvin (Jeanette) Grosskreutz, Marie (Herbert) DeRuyter and Joseph
(Helen) Grosskreutz and a niece, June Rautmann.
Per Leah’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Leah’s name.
The family would like to thank the staff at both Pine Haven Christian Community and Aurora Medical
Center for the care shown to Leah.
