Three persons from out-of-state will spend more time than they planned upon in Wisconsin after being arrested in Fond du Lac County on Sunday.
The three were in a vehicle that triggered an automatic license plate reader as being wanted for felony retail theft as it entered Fond du Lac County on northbound I-41.
A Fond du Lac County Sheriffโs Deputy stopped the vehicle in a parking lot off South Military Road, but the driver fled suddenly, heading back south towards Dodge, and eventually Washington County where a Deputy successfully deployed a tire deflation device near County Highway K on I-41. The suspect vehicle traveled only a short distance further and the three persons inside were arrested without further trouble.
The driver, a 36-year-old woman from Vermont, is in the Fond du Lac County Jail on multiple charges connected with the 33-mile chase as well as for drug charges. A 40-year-old Pennsylvania man was taken into custody on drug and resisting charges, as was another passenger, a 41-year-old man from Vermont. All three have outstanding warrants in their home states.
