
Garry Norbert “Tex” Schomberg, 76, of Plymouth, passed away with his
family by his side on Thursday, January 16, 2025. He was born February
2, 1948, in Sheboygan to the late Norbert and Olinda (Prange) Schomberg,
residing on the family farm in Sheboygan Falls. He graduated from
Sheboygan Falls High School with the Class of 1966.
On October 24, 1970, he was united in marriage to Theresa Feustel at St.
Paul’s Lutheran Church in Howards Grove. Together they raised their three
children and celebrated 43 wonderful years, before Theresa preceded him
in death on November 26, 2013.
Garry was a carpenter for 35 plus years working with several companies in
the Sheboygan area until his retirement in 2010.
Having a strong faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus, Garry was a lifetime
member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Howards Grove. He also enjoyed
quiet mornings reading his Bible and daily devotions.
Garry loved the outdoors, golfing, fishing, hunting and bird watching. He
had a passion for music and hosting his annual “Tex’s Rock N Roll Party”
with family and friends. He was also an avid sports fan cheering on the
Brewers and Bucks and watching the Packers with “The Boys”.
Garry is survived by his three children; Lisa Pyykkonen, Scott (Shera)
Schomberg, and Angela Panosh, six grandchildren; Jacob, Nicholas and
Zachary Pyykkonen and Colton, Broderick, and Sawyer Panosh, brothers,
James Schomberg and his twin brother Larry (Karen) Schomberg,
brothers-in-law; Jerome (Doris) Feustel, Joseph Feustel, and Mark
(Virginia) Feustel, sisters-in-law, Mary Feustel, Janet Wenlund, Erma
(Kenneth) Ramm, and Maryann (Ross) Baldock. He is further survived by
many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Garry was preceded in
death by his parents, wife, brother Donald Schomberg, in-laws Roman and
Dorothy Feustel, brothers-in-law, Ronald Feustel, Allen Wenlund, and
Michael Feustel, his sisters-in-law Sharon Schomberg, Jan Schomberg and
Karen Feustel, and his niece Tammy Schomberg Fullerton.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 1:00 PM
at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 441 Millersville Rd. Howards Grove, with
Pastor Adam Bode officiating.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Saturday, February 1,
2025, from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the CHURCH.
The family would like to thank the health care teams at Prevea, St.
Nicholas Hospital and Sharon S. Richardson Hospice for all their care,
compassion and support. The family would also like to thank Pastor Bode
for his frequent visits, and prayers for Garry and his family.
