With the changing-of-the-guard in the top office at the Sheboygan Police Department just days away, celebrations for the two officers are being prepared by the City.
Current Police Chief Christopher Domagalski will officially retire on Monday following a 15-year career, noted by the city as demonstrating innovative leadership, a community-first approach, and unwavering dedication. A celebration of that career will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, February 3rd in the Council Chambers at City Hall preceding the regular Common Council meeting.
Incoming Chief of Police Kurt Zempel will take his oath of office at this coming Monday’s Common Council meeting. In celebration of his new position, the City will celebrate Zempel at 5 p.m. in advance of the 6 p.m. Common Council session.
Both celebrations will feature cake and refreshments, and the public is invited.
