After its fate remained in question over the past several years, the Sheboygan Jaycees have announced that there will be a Brat Day festival in 2025. The event that the Jaycees call “a symbol of Sheboygan’s rich heritage and traditions” will be coming to its customary grounds at Kiwanis Park for a single-day event on August 2nd.
The Jaycees, which have sponsored the event – or its surrogates – for over 50 years, said that it had been gathering feedback over many of those years that indicate room for improvement in the event experience, prompting the revamp that aims to satisfy those needs. During the process other venues and options addressing logistics, infrastructure and family-friendly safety measures were considered. When all was said and done, Kiwanis Park again asserted itself as the best site.
Little else was announced for now, but the Jaycees expressed confidence that the enhancements they’ve planned will provide a “refreshed experience that honors our traditions while offering new delights at this annual celebration.”
