The death of a 39-year-old Hartford woman is headed for justice with the arrests of several persons accused of supplying the drugs that led to her overdose last June.
Washington County Sheriff’s Lieutenant of Detectives Tim Kemps said the investigation by Hartford Police expanded to the Multi-Jurisdictional Drug unit’s eventual I-D of a 30-year-old Milwaukee man as the prime suspect. Along with input from the Wisconsin DOJ’s Criminal Investigation Overdose Death Initiative and the Wisconsin Counterdrug Program, the Washington County D-A’s Office was able to issue warrants tor the arrests of three persons that were executed last Thursday by tactical teams in Milwaukee, with another search warrant conducted in the Village of Grafton.
The main suspect was out on bond and extended supervision since 2021 on numerous felony charges including reckless homicide and delivery of fentanyl. He was arraigned in Washington County Friday morning on new charges of reckless homicide, conspiracy to deliver fentanyl, and multiple counts of bail jumping The two others from Milwaukee face charges of Conspiracy to Distribute Fentanyl and Cocaine, and more charges are being reviewed in connection with a Glock handgun that was modified into a fully-automatic weapon.
