While major road construction usually takes a break during the winter months, lesser maintenance projects don’t, and there will be several of those underway in Sheboygan County this week.
DOT crews will be repairing the guardrail on southbound I-43 along the off-ramp to State Highway 42 between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. today…watch for a lane closure there.
Clearing and grubbing of unwanted vegetation along both the north-and-southbound lanes of Highway 67 west of Plymouth, from Shady Lane to Hillcrest Drive takes place each day this week between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. A temporary signal will control the traffic flow.
Maintenance crews will also repair cable guards in both directions of I-43 at various locations between the Manitowoc/Sheboygan County Line to the north, and Wilson-Lima Road on the south on both Tuesday the 14th and Wednesday the 15th. That operation takes place between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. both days, and a moving lane closure will be in place.
As always, motorists are urged to slow down and use extra caution in work zones for the safety of all.
