Carol Kolpin, age 89, passed away on January 1, 2025 at Homestead Health Services in New Holstein.
She was born on September 9, 1935 in Minnesota, a daughter of the late Ernest and Evangeline (Laack)
Will.
She attended Plymouth High School.
On April 19, 1952, she married Junior A. “Bud” Kolpin. Bud and Carol owned and operated the B & C
Sportsman Bar for 10 years in Plymouth. They also ran the Plymouth Softball Association Northside
Concessions stand for many years. Bud preceded her in death on January 7, 1996.
She was a former member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. Carol was an avid gardener and
was known for her cooking, especially her pies.
Survivors include her children, Connie (James) Sandy of Lafayette, IN, Randy (Chris) Kolpin of Kiel, Dean
(Monica) Kolpin of Cedar, WI; seven grandchildren, James Sandy Jr., Gina (Brad) Brooks, Kate (Peter)
Fieder, Kent (Amy) Kolpin, Kelly (Jay) Oberst, Jordan Kolpin, and Austin Kolpin; eight great-
grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, JoAnn Dassow; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters-in-law, Marilyn (William) Eggebeen, Lois
(Levi) Backhaus, and brother-in-law, Richard Dassow.
A celebration of life for Carol will be held on Monday (January 13, 2025) at the Suchon Funeral Home in
Plymouth from 11:00AM – 1:00PM.
