Virginia I. Pitschler, 95, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024 at her home with her family by her side.
Born February 5, 1929, in Sheboygan Falls, Virginia was a daughter of the late William and Mathilda Sabel Kohlmann. She attended Sheboygan Falls area schools and graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1947. On April 23, 1955, she was united in marriage to Donald Orville Arthur Pitschler. They were married for 30 years before Donald preceded her in death on November 9, 1986.
Virginia worked at Pigeon River School as a noon hour supervisor for 34 years. She previously worked for the Kohler Co., Lake to Lake and Boneck Printing. She was a member of St. Dominic Church where she sang in the church choir and the funeral choir. She liked to stay active by volunteering at St. Nicholas Hospital for 24 years. She enjoyed spending time in her yard gardening, bowling and putting together puzzles.
She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Pitschler, Scottsdale, AZ; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents and husband, Donald, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Bernice “Bernie” (Kenneth) Brown and Rose Marie (Henry) French; and a brother, Raymond (Vernetta) Kohlmann.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 2133 N. 22nd Street, Sheboygan. Family and friends are welcome at the church on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. (noon) until the time of service. Interment will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
