King Curtis Latrell Britton, 35, was born on November 7, 1989, to Elvira Clayborn and Johnnie Britton. Curtis was their oldest son. He attended Proviso West High School in Hillside, IL , Sheboygan North High School and South Shore International College Prepatory High School in Chicago.
Curtis greatest passion in life was preaching the word of God. He was a member of Word of Grace Community Church in Sheboygan Falls where he served as a religious instructor. He also shared his gifts with other churches across Sheboygan. He also ministered and mentored juveniles at the Sheboygan Detention Center. He loved to play basketball and coached with the Panthers. He previously worked at Bemis Manufacturing, Festival Foods and Old Wisconsin.
He had a thing for music, whether it was singing or rapping. His biggest gift to us all was his heart. He was such a sweet soul who loved everyone and didn’t care if you loved him back.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Elvira Clayborn; his father, Johnnie Britton; his sisters, Charmaine, Juilette, Tianca, Taijiah, Tashira, Mildred and Jonnae; his four brothers, Rakim, Johnnie, Jr., Jamarcos and Jacarri. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and his extended church family.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Carrie in August of 2022.
A Celebration of Life will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Word of Grace Community Church, 837 Buffalo Street, Sheboygan Falls. Pastor Stephen Maris will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the church on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Curtis’ arrangements.
