Paul Peter Renzelmann, 87, of Sheboygan Falls, WI, passed away in the quiet comfort of his
home on Friday, December 20 th , 2024, after a progressive illness.
Paul was born April 26 th , 1937, to Paul A. and Kathryn Renzelmann in Sheboygan, WI, where he
shared in their love and affection with his 10 brothers and sisters. Paul was preceded in death
by his parents, his brothers Mike, Jim, Ted and Steve, and his sisters MaryAnn (Louie) Trumm,
Celine (Victor) Towler, Katsy (Leroy) Gerk, and Sally (Murlin) Winter.
Paul attended St. Peter Claver School and Sheboygan Central High School where he graduated
in 1955. He was united in marriage to Donna Wolfert on January 12, 1957, at Holy Name of
Jesus Catholic Church in Sheboygan. Paul started his career at Prange’s, and then worked for
Bordon Chemical, H&R Block, where he served as a District Manager, and St. Peter Claver
Parish where he served as the Business Director. During his tenure with H&R Block, Paul
developed a keen interest in tax preparation and subsequently launched his own business,
Renzelmann Tax Service. Paul had been serving his clients faithfully until 2022, when he finally
“officially” retired at the age of 85.
Paul and Donna have built a loving family together over the past 67 years. During their
marriage, they had 5 children, 11 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren…with number 16
due in March. Paul was an avid golfer and shared this passion with his family, having introduced
them to the game through their annual family golf outing, 39 years and running. Paul also
enjoyed sports, often sharing stories of his CYA basketball days. He enjoyed the camaraderie of
affiliations with groups like the Knights of Columbus and the Liar’s Club. He thoroughly enjoyed
watching and cheering for his grandchildren while they participated in their own sporting
endeavors.
Paul was a tried-and-true fan of the Green Bay Packers and shared many treasured hours
watching the games with his family. Paul loved to spend a sunny day at the golf course, a rainy-
day playing cards, or a snowy afternoon at a local brat fry, because it often meant hanging out
with some of his “best buds”…his family.
Paul is survived by his loving and devoted wife Donna (Wolfert), his sons Paul, Alan and
Kenneth, and his twin daughters Jeryl (Bryan) Remy, and Cheryl (Jeffry) Brown. Additionally, his
grandchildren Garrett (Megan), Grant (Shaunna), Travis (Bobbie), and Ryan Renzelmann,
Nicholas and Drake Schumacher, Bryannah Remy, Phillip (Lindsay) and Amy Beaumont,
Bradley (Michelle) Brown and Tiffany Hester, and great-grandchildren Addison, Lauren, Bristol,
Harper, William, Jaxson, Xander, Gideon, Michael, Damyn, Angelina, Payton, Riley, Destiny,
and Cheyenne. He is further survived by his brother Pat, and his sister Therese (Dick) Hardy,
and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Family and friends may gather at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1439 S. 12 th Street,
Sheboygan on Monday December 30, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 12:00
p.m. Fr Paul Fliss will officiate. Entombment will take place in the Holy Cross Mausoleum.
A special thank you and gratitude is extended to Paul’s son Alan who provided around-the-clock
care alongside the exceptional hospice services through the Sharon S. Richardson Community
Hospice organization. Without your sacrifice and service, Paul’s wish to remain in his home
would not have been possible.
