Norbert “Pete” Prange, 98, of Howards Grove, was called to his heavenly home on Monday, December
23, 2024. Pete was born on August 31, 1926, to the late Adolph and Bertha (Fasse) Prange in Sheboygan.
He graduated from Howards Grove High School with the Class of 1944. Pete served in the U.S. Army
during World War II from 1945-1947.
Pete was united in marriage to Marion Herzog on August 26, 1950 at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church,
Howards Grove. Pete and Marion were lifetime members of St. Paul’s. Pete served as Church President,
Sunday School teacher and on many more committees.
He was most remembered as an insurance agent with American Family for 25 years. Pete was very active
in the community. He was a member of VFW Post 9924, Howards Grove Athletic Club, Howards Grove
Lions Club, and the Howards Grove Fire Department.
Pete enjoyed watching all Wisconsin sports teams, hunting, fishing, wood working and all outdoor
activities. He loved cheering on his children and grandkids at their sporting events.
Pete is survived by his children, Thomas Prange, John Prange, Sandra Weber and Robert (Michelle)
Prange; six grandchildren, Shaun (Amy) Prange, Jamie Prange, Jessica (Philip) Boncher, Jenna Prange,
Jason Prange and Elizabeth Weber; eight great-grandchildren, Lila, Kerigan, Jackson, Cameryn, Jordy,
Mason, Marlice and Aurora; and other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife Marion Prange, his parents Adolph and Bertha Prange and his siblings
Gaylord Prange, Avila Lenz, Olinda Schomberg and Wesley Prange.
Visitation for Pete will take place on Thursday, January 2, 2025 from 4:00pm – 7:00pm at Zimmer
Westview, W2132 Garton Rd., Howards Grove and Friday, January 3, 2025 from 9:00am – 11:00am at St.
Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 441 Millersville Ave, Howards Grove.
The funeral service will take place on Friday, January 3, 2025 at 11:00am at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran
Church. Pete will be laid to rest privately at St. Paul’s Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at St. Nicholas Hospital, Sharon S.
Richardson Community Hospice and Cornerstone, a special thank you to Pete’s home care provider Katie.
A memorial fund has been established to St. Paul’s Church in the name of Norbert Prange.
