Scott J. Opgenorth, age 67, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024, at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee.
He was born in Sheboygan on April 22, 1957, to Gerhardt and Virginia (Klein) Opgenorth. He graduated from South High School and continued his education at LTC. He was employed at Kohler Company for over 20 years and previously at UPS. He was a member of the trading card club.
Scott was an avid fisherman and loved spending his summers sitting by the lake. He also enjoyed watching sunrises and sunsets while walking at Terre Andre State Park and going to the stock car races. In his younger years, he raced motocross. Scott was a kind and gentle soul and even after life, he selflessly gave to others through the gift of organ donation.
Scott is survived by his daughter, Jessica (Brian Woveras) Hoffman; his mother, Ginny Schreiber; grandchildren, Ellis and Evelyn; brothers, Dave (Mary Jo) Opgenorth and Tom (Nancy) Opgenorth; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Scott was preceded in death by his father, Gary and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
A Memorial Service for Scott will be held at NOON on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral and Cremation Care Center, 1201 N 8th St. in Sheboygan. Family will greet visitors on Friday at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
Memorial donations can be made in Scott’s name to the American Heart Association.
