David Ernest Debbink, 79, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday,
December 9, 2024, at his home.
Dave was born on November 10, 1945, in Sheboygan to Ernest and Nellie (Hesselink) Debbink. He attended
Ourtown School and later Sheboygan Falls School. He grew up working on the family farm and his first job at
16 was at Gibbsville Cheese Factory.
On October 21, 1972, Dave was united in marriage to Judith Pike at Faith United Methodist Church in
Sheboygan Falls.
Dave drove a gravel truck for E&S Trucking for a few years before working at Richardson Industries for 25
years, retiring as a maintenance supervisor.
Dave was a longtime member of Faith United Methodist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying deer
hunting, walleye and muskie fishing in Eagle River and Woodruff, and antelope and mule deer hunting in
Wyoming. He enjoyed birdwatching and sitting in his chair singing hymns. Dave was talented in making stain
glass pieces, making aluminum can airplanes, woodworking, and he could fix anything. He enjoyed family
vacations, seasonal camping in Sturgeon Bay, and annual trips to Luck, WI. His faith and love for his family
were the most important things in his life.
Dave is survived by his wife, Judy; daughters, Michelle (Felipe) Cruz, Melisa Debbink; granddaughters, Marissa
(Anthony Laub) and Cierra Cruz; sister, Ruth Debbink; siblings-in-law, Wayne Stubbe, Gladys Debbink, Gary
(Carol) Dunton, David (Brenda) Pike, Susan (Don) Dota, Jim (Barb) Pike, Vicky (Dale) Verhage, Deb (Ed) Cline,
Renee (Scott) Greger, Karen (Rick) McCoy. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives,
and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandson, Dominick Debbink; parents; parents-in-law, Leslie and Barbara Pike;
siblings, Marian (Allan) DeBlaey, Lenore Debbink, Wesley Debbink, Marvin (MaryAnn) Debbink, Harold (Nancy)
Debbink, Ann Stubbe; siblings-in-law, Kathleen Dunton, Jerrold Pike; nieces, Carol Jesinski, Joan Meves;
nephews, Danny Richey, Arlen VanDyke; great-niece, Angela Pike; and great-nephews, Phillip Jesinski, Jeff
Jesinski, and Alex Debbink.
A funeral service to celebrate Dave’s life will be held at Faith United Methodist Church in Sheboygan Falls on
Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 12:00pm. He will be laid to rest at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may greet the family at church from 9:00am until the time of service at 12:00pm.
