The attorney representing former Sheboygan HR Director Adam Westbrook in a child sex case is withdrawing, forcing a delay in sentencing.
Westbrook agreed to enter a guilty plea to distributing child pornography in attempts to avoid a jury trial and was scheduled to be sentenced today, however his attorney filed a motion last week Tuesday saying that the attorney-client relationship had deteriorated, and he could no longer effectively defend Westbrook.
A judge yesterday ordered sentencing to be rescheduled, but a new date was not announced. According to the plea agreement reached earlier, both the prosecution and defense agreed to recommend a sentence between eight and 12 years in prison.
