Diane Lengling, age 90, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2024 at Pine
Haven in Sheboygan Falls.
She was born on June 19, 1934 in Milwaukee, WI, a daughter of the late Rudolph and Leona
(Gigil) Thorgersen.
Diane attended North Division High School in Milwaukee graduating in 1952.
On May 14, 1955, she married Eugene “Gene” Lengling in Milwaukee. The couple resided in
Milwaukee after their marriage before moving to Plymouth in 1960. Gene preceded her in
death on August 1, 2014.
Diane and Gene raised three sons, Mark, Dale, and Bruce. Besides raising her kids she worked
various jobs before becoming a CNA, working at Plymouth Valley Manor.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. Diane enjoyed reading, listening to
the radio, specifically swing and big band music or anything from the 40’s and 50’s. Diane and
Gene loved spending time with their pets.
Survivors include her sons, Mark (Linda) Lengling and Bruce Lengling; Grandchildren, Amber
Tellez (Nicholas Weyker), Melissa (Neil) Rosenberg, Joseph Lengling, Peter Lengling, Mykael
Lengling, David Lengling; Great-grandchildren, Caleb Lengling, Aristia and Alexandra Rosenberg;
Former daughter-in-law, Tish (Bob); and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Sons, Dale Lengling and Baby Lengling; Grandson,
CJ; Sister, Shirley (Larry) Toomey; Goddaughter, Debora Toomey; and many in-laws and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday (November 29, 2024) at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth
from 1:00 PM-3:00 PM; with a memorial service to follow at 3:00 PM. Pastor Andrew
Thompson will officiate. Private family inurnment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Diane was a Breast Cancer Survivor for 24 years, to honor her memory in lieu of flowers, please
