Taylor drive south of Highway 28 had to be shut down last night after a crash that ended with a vehicle catching fire.
The Sheriff’s Department says a driver traveling on I-43 lost control in the rain when the vehicle hydroplaned. Another vehicle was struck before the first vehicle left the road, running down an embankment and through a fence near Taylor Drive.
The vehicle caught fire, but the driver was able to get out of the vehicle with only minor injuries. Taylor drive was re-opened about an hour after the crash.
