Karen Ann Stuefen, 78, of Sheboygan, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at
her home. She was born August 5, 1946, in Sheboygan to the late Harold and Arline
(Born) Miller. On January 31, 1978, she was united in marriage to John “Jack” Stuefen.
Together they celebrated 33 years of marriage. Karen and Jack were inseparable, they
enjoyed going to garage sales, traveling to visit family in Bolder Junction and Oklahoma,
spending time at their property in the “North Woods”, and both Karen and Jack were
active with the Right Way Club. Jack preceded her in death on May 8, 2011.
Karen worked for Eclipse Manufacturing for 41 years. She was an avid golfer, diehard
Packer and Brewer fan, and had a huge heart for animal rescues. Cats were her
favorite, but she loved all animals.
Karen is survived by her daughter Nicki Unertl, son Rick Unertl, stepchildren Troy
(special friend Karen Lee) Stuefen, Brenda (special friend Steve Goodwin) Stuefen and
Arleigh (special friend Sheila Reffke) Stuefen, eleven grandchildren, eight great-
grandchildren, brother Ronald (Pat) Miller, sister June Smith, brother-in-law Ted
Korlesky, and her fur-baby Miss Piggy. She is further survived by nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, husband,
brothers Steve Miller and Jerry Miller, and sisters-in-law Stella Miller and Sharon
Korlesky.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at 1:00 PM at
Reinbold Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12 th St. Sheboygan, with Pastor Timothy Mech
officiating. Interment will follow at Lutheran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit
with the family on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, from 11:00 AM until the time of
service at the FUNERAL HOME.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sheboygan Humane Society in
Karen’s name.
