A 93% Voter Turnout in Sheboygan County showed strong, but not universal, Republican support during Tuesday’s 2024 General Election.
Sheboygan County’s voters put Donald Trump and JD Vance in first place with 38,758 voting to reinstall the former President and his running mate, compared to 27,733 for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. Those results were mirrored state, and nation-wide.
In Sheboygan County, Eric Hovde succeeded in garnering 37,564 votes, with Incumbent Democrat Tammy Baldwin getting 27,553. Definitive statewide results were slow to materialize, but by 5 a.m. on Wednesday, Tammy Baldwin declared victory, stating that “It is clear that the voters have spoken and our campaign has won”, and, “From the bottom of my heart, it is an honor to serve the people of Wisconsin.”
In the race for 6th District Congressman, Glenn Grothman, the Republican, defeated Democrat challenger John Zarbano 39,552 to 36,354 in Sheboygan County, helping to seal Grothman’s win.
Republican Dan Feyen defeated Democrat Michael Rapp 4,975 to 1,372 to take the 20th State Senate District in Sheboygan County.
Assembly District 25 went to Republican Paul Tittle, 1,205 to 818.
District 26 was won narrowly by Joe Sheehan,14,886 to 14,043 over Amy Binsfeld.
District 27th’s Republican candidate Lindee Rae Brill took the Sheboygan County vote 18,909 to 8,477 over Democrat Kay Ladson.
The 59th District Assembly Race went to Republican Robert Brooks, 4,906 to 1,387 for Democrat Jack Holzman.
