Nancy M. Brauer, 85, of Sheboygan, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at
Countryside Manor in Sheboygan. She was born October 5, 1939, in Sheboygan to the
late John Edward and Marie (Richter) Mohr. Nancy graduated from Sheboygan Central
High School with the Class of 1958.
On November 22, 1962, she was united in marriage to Dolf Brauer at Trinity Lutheran
Church. Together they raised three children and took wonderful trips to Italy and Hawaii
over their 57 years of marriage.
Nancy worked for Hayssen Manufacturing from 1958 until 1962 and for Ametek from
1982 until her retirement in 1999. Nancy’s pride and joy was her family, and she was
grateful to have been able to stay at home and raise her children.
Nancy had a strong faith and was an active member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in
Sheboygan. She served on the alter guild and sang in the choir.
Nancy was a talented seamstress making beautiful dresses for her granddaughters for
Christmas and other special occasions. She looked forward to her monthly get
togethers with her classmates of 1958 and enjoyed her winter months with Dolf in
Florida for 13 years. Her passion was creating many cherished and lasting memories
with her family and friends.
Nancy is survived by her children; Curt (Jean) Brauer, Robyn (Alan) Bemowski, and
Eric (Dawn) Brauer, grandchildren; Alex (Ashley), Matthew, Anna (Shane), Autumn
(Austin), Madilynn, and Maxwell, great-grandson Shane Jr. and great-granddaughter
Baby Coss arriving in December, her brother Gene (Margaret) Mohr, and brother-in-law
Herb Brauer. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Jerry Mohr, sister-in-law
Mary Brauer and nephew Michael Mohr.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, at 1:30 PM at Our
Savior’s Lutheran Church, 917 Mead Ave., Sheboygan, with Rev. James Schulz
officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday, November 8, 2024,
from 11:30 AM until the time of service at the CHURCH.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Nancy’s
name.
Nancy’s family would like to thank the staff of Countryside Manor for all the care,
compassion and support given to her over the past year and a half.
