Those visiting the City of Manitowoc won’t have to look too far to find helpful information about that destination. Visit Manitowoc, the city’s tourism marketing organization, has installed digital kiosks at strategic locations in the city. They’re an interactive portal that connects to info from Visit Manitowoc’s comprehensive database and website. Through them, visitors can locate restaurants, events, places to stay and things to do…even get an aerial map view with walking and driving details for nearby destinations.
Four of the kiosks have been placed in key, high-traffic locations around the city. One is inside the Visitor Information Center of Visit Manitowoc, with another on the building’s exterior for 24/7 access. The other two free kiosks are at the Holiday Inn, and at the Inn on Maritime Bay.
Visit Manitowoc’s Director of Tourism, Courtney Hansen said the project has been on their minds for years, and now, key information is available to visitors where they are, in a form they want, and when they want it.
