One person is in the Washington County Jail awaiting charges in connection with the death of a 42-year-old woman in the Village of Richfield.
Washington County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an abandoned 911 call made at 4:06 on Thursday morning from a residence on Pleasant Hill. The woman was found deceased at the site and a suspect was arrested at the scene. Investigators say the two knew each other, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
The investigation continues and until next of kin have been notified, no names will be released. Charges are expected to be filed once enough evidence has been collected.
