A 52 year old Wrightstown man died after being pulled from Lake Michigan near the South Pier in Sheboygan early Thursday morning. Sheboygan Police responded to a 911 call from a passerby who noticed the man, who was still attached to his surfboard in the lake.
Police say the caller was trying to pull him from the water while on the phone with Emergency Dispatch. The caller then started performing CPR until officers and firefighters arrived, but life-saving measures were unsuccessful. Police say the cause of death is unknown but there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.
