
Ralph R. Hartmann, 94, of Sheboygan, passed away on Saturday, July 6,
2024, at LakeHouse Sheboygan.
Ralph was born on April 25, 1930, in Sheboygan to the late Frank and
Frieda M. (Minster) Hartmann. He graduated from North High School in
1949 and went on to join the US Army, serving the canals of Panama from
1951-1953. Beginning in his youthful years, he enjoyed spending nearly 30
summers on Washington Island.
On August 25, 1962, Ralph was united in marriage to Pearl R. Weinkauf.
Ralph worked at Vollrath for 41 years until his retirement in 1995. He served
as trustee for UAW for 6 years and was an Honor Flight recipient. Ralph
was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sheboygan, Old Timers
Baseball Club, and McDonald’s Coffee Club. He loved big cars, boating,
vacationing in Door County, and drove his moped until he was 89 years old.
Ralph enjoyed attending the senior center swimming program for 20 years
and also was an avid follower of the band Copper Box.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Pearl; daughters, Kathy (Allen) McCabe,
Connie Hartmann; granddaughters, Allyson (Trevor) Krautkramer and
Lindsey (Nate) Schuett; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Mabel (Gilbert)
Damrow, Melvin (Ruth) Hartmann, Fern (Arthur Jr.) Koeser.
A private family service will be held.
