
Roger D. Balzan, age 82, of Arizona (Formerly of Plymouth), passed away on
Wednesday (May 22, 2024) in Eloy, AZ.
He was born on October 1, 1941 in Plymouth, a son of the late Orlando J. and
Hattie (Hueppchen) Balzan. He attended St. Michael’s Grade School in
Kewaskum, 2 years at Plymouth High School and graduated from Brandon High
School in 1959.
On July 28, 1962 he married Linda Lee Phipps at St. John the Baptist Catholic
Church in Plymouth.
Roger was an over the road truck driver for many years driving for LCL Gross
Clairmont and Schneider Transport retiring in July of 2000.
He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth and Rock
Springs Church in Eloy.
He was active in Plymouth Jaycees serving as President, Kiel Lions Club,
Plymouth and Kiel Police Auxiliary. He was also a member of bowling leagues in
Cascade, Plymouth, Elkhart Lake and Kiel and was an avid Packer, Brewer and
NASCAR fan. Roger also enjoyed traveling and spending his winter months at
their home at Robson Ranch in Eloy, AZ. where he was active in the retirement
park programs.
Survivors include: his loving wife of 61 years, Linda; Three daughters: Deberah
(Larry) Bergin of Sheboygan, Pamela (John) Petermann of West Bend and
Rebecca (Patrick) Zeeveld of Pleasant Prairie, WI; Son, Russell (Kim) Balzan of
Scottsdale, AZ; 7 grandchildren; One Great-grandchild; Sister, Janet Lehrke of
Cleveland; Sisters-in-law: Mollie (Howard) Bandy of Eugene, OR and Judy
Phipps of New Berlin, WI; Along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many
friends.
Following Roger’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life
with a Prayer Service will be held on Saturday morning (July 20, 2024), at 11:00
A.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Father Philip Reifenberg will
officiate. Inurnment will be in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Plymouth.
Friends may call at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth on Saturday (July 20)
from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Roger’s name.
