Speakers have been announced for Lakeland University’s 162nd commencement ceremonies on Saturday. The school will hold three observances, beginning with the awarding of Master’s Degrees at 10:00 a.m. The keynote speaker for that group of grads will be Michael Grubich, president and managing partner at LAK group of Brookfield, and author of the 2021 book “Leadership On Purpose. Grubich has also served in executive roles with Aurora Health Care, the Kohler Company and Jockey International.
At 1:00 p.m., Sheboygan County circuit court Judge Natasha Torry will address the Kellet undergraduate ceremony. Torry, who was elected to the circuit court last year, was previously a staff attorney at Legal Action of Wisconsin, had her own private practice, and serves on many boards including the Boys and Girls Clubs of Sheboygan and the John Michael Kohler arts Center.
Those attending Lakeland’s traditional undergraduate ceremony at 4:00 p.m. will hear from Jeff Frank, the artistic director of First Stage of Milwaukee, the third largest professional Theater for Young Audiences in the nation. Frank has over 100 directorial credits including productions of Thornton Wilder’s “Childhood” in both London and Moscow.
All three speakers will receive an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Lakeland University.
