Susan Florence Jarvis, 84, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully March 30, 2024 at Sharon S.
Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.
Born January 31, 1940 in Valders, WI she was the youngest daughter of the late Lawrence
Pankratz and Alice Mary Woodcock Pankratz. Susie went to North High School where she
enjoyed cheerleading, singing in the choir, and led the pep committee as a chairman until
graduating in 1958.
On June 15, 1963 she was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart Richard “Jerry”
Jarvis Jr. at First Presbyterian Church in Sheboygan. The pair resided in Kohler, but especially
loved visiting and hosting dinner parties at their cottage on Crystal Lake and, later, Elkhart Lake.
Susan loved singing, entertaining and traveling as all true Pankratzes do. She was a multiple
time tennis champ at the Sports Core in Kohler, a Sheboygan Service Club volunteer and an
avid reader and solver of Sudoku and crossword puzzles. For 25 years she helped her brother
organize the Ramble Scramble fundraiser benefiting Cystic Fibrosis. She played Mahjong but
enjoyed bridge above all, as she was part of numerous bridge clubs over the years with her
fabulous friends.
When it came to celebrating family during birthdays and holidays, she spared no expense. Her
house would come alive, decorated from top to bottom with festive flair. We will always
remember the elaborate Easter egg hunts she would orchestrate for her family.
Susan is survived by her son, Randall Jarvis, grandchildren, Bryan Jarvis(fiance Morgan) and
Jared Jarvis, sister Jan DeKarske and daughter-in-law Jill Jarvis. She is further survived by
numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry, infant son Daniel, eldest son Richard, brother
Dick Pankratz, and sister Diane Storm.
A special thanks to Sheboygan Area First Responders, the Emergency Team at HSHS St.
Nicholas Hospital, the knowledgeable staff at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in
Sheboygan Falls, and to all her beloved bridge friends.
A private event will be held on April 6th to celebrate Susan’s life.
