Roger Platz, age 77, passed away on January 29, 2024.
He was born on May 28, 1946, in Elkhart Lake, to the late Rita (Gahagan) and Norman Platz.
Roger graduated from Elkhart Lake High School in 1964. Roger was married to Annette
Mahloch and had two daughters, Cheri and Jodi. He was a member of the National Guard and
worked at Bordens in Plymouth.
He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and taking trips to the Western States.
Roger is survived by two daughters; Cheri (Jim) Geraci and Jodi (Troy) Jekenewicz, 4 grandsons;
Gage Platz, Logan Jekenewicz, Ryan & Andy Geraci, and one sister; Carol (Dick) Greger. He is
also survived by nieces, nephews, and many relatives and friends.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Joanne Wieseckel.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, February 5, 2024 at the Suchon Funeral Home in
Plymouth. Visitation will take place from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM with a service to follow at 5:00 PM.
Father Philip Reifenberg will officiate. Inurnment will be at St. Thomas Aquinas North Cemetery
in Elkhart Lake.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Roger’s name.
