MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — A tour of the nation by Vice President Kamala Harris will begin in Wisconsin next month.
The first stop of Harris’ “Fight for Reproductive Freedoms” tour is scheduled to stop at an undisclosed location in the state on January 22, which would have been the 51st anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion nationwide. The court overturned the decision in 2022.
Harris planned a visit to UW-Madison in October, but that event was postponed.
The vice-president’s visit signals the importance of Wisconsin in the 2024 presidential election.
